Gmail inflation, part 2

I like Gmail a lot. Its realy the best consumer e-mail service for me. In the last weeks it looked like they are on the road to make Gmail available for everybody. I had tons of invitations to give away to my friends, and I even have enough to make someone happy out there. But the big hype is over. Everybody who realy wanted to have Gmail has now an account. The guys from the Gmail teams seemed to realize this and started an e-mail campaign.

Since last April, we’ve been working hard to create the best email service possible. It already comes with 1,000 megabytes of free storage, powerful Google search technology to find any message you want instantly, and a new way of organizing email that saves you time and helps you make sense of all the information in your inbox.

The funny thing is: they addressed this mailing to my official e-mail adress akluge at new.kluge.de (which is the adress I registered for my existing gmail accounnt), not my Gmail adress. These e-Mails are filtered by my favourite e-mail categorization service eXpurgate AND after this by Gmail spam filter itself. eXpurgate flagged it as „bulk“, and even there is a rule in my Gmail account moving „bulk“ away from my inbox to a separate folder, this mail made its way to my inbox. Very clever, Gmail.
