The last weeks rumours become reality. Skype is worth 2.6 billion US Dollar – at least for eBay. Still I miss a strategy behind this deal – and shareholder miss that too.
The markets were less convinced by the rumours and traders sent eBay shares down sharply late last week. Some analysts suggested eBay could benefit from a partnering deal with Skype without needing to buy the company.
